Get to know the MiM team in this new series of blogs. Based on the “Inside the Actors Studio” format (or the Proust questionnaire), we’ll be asking our team some questions to find out what makes them tick!

This week, we’ve asked MiM’s founder and managing director, Julie McCann, five questions to get to know who she is beyond MiM.

If you could be anyone who would you be?

I thought long and hard about this and actually when it comes down to it I will be me … but with Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos’s joint wealth! The purpose of that is to be able to put that money to good use. To transform the planet for humanity to be healthy, educated, and thriving. There is no way I wouldn’t have my family! So even without Elon and Jeff’s dosh I will do my best with what I have!

You can live anywhere in the world, in any type of accommodation – where would you like to live?

By the sea – sea views, mostly warm – but with some changing seasons and beautiful views.

If you could have any profession (other than working with MiM!) what would it be and why?

I love business. I believe it plays a crucial role in society and in the world. It can make a world of positive difference if done right. I feel privileged and honoured to do what I do. I’m in the profession I want to be in – would love to scale to be able to make more difference!

Julie’s dream job has always been in business

What is your favourite TV show just now?

I haven’t got one right now … I loved Good Morning America, Ted Lasso, Gavin and Stacey, Succession, Big Little Lies, Whitechapel, Peaky Blinders – anything with great writing, story, acting and production.

You’re stuck on a Desert Island! What three books would you want with you?

Gone With The Wind, all of Peter May’s books … and my Kindle!
